Def a nOOb Q but can someone plz tell me What is the difference between the FN2 and the FN2R?
I think the main difference is: its a 5 door hatch that is also available in Auto, spoiler-less rear hatch and different front grille. and no gear boot on the manual shifter.
tyre deflation warning, 1.8L SOHC engine only, no LSD, no aluminium pedals, no red carpeting, different interior trim

There is no such thing as just an "FN2", only an FN2R.
The FN2R is the 2007+ Civic Type R (2.0L 3 Door, Petrol - manual transmission only) which are manufactured in the UK.
This is the FN2R:
The other F* models are as follows:
FK2: 5 door 1.8 petrol
FK3: 5 door 2.2 diesel
FN1: 3 door 1.8 petrol (Type S)
FN2R: 3 door 2.0 petrol (Type R)
FN3: 3 door 2.2 diesel (Type S)
FN4: 3 door 1.4 petrol (Type S)
The other new Civic hatch we have in Australia is the FK2 (known as the Civic Si), which is the 5-door 1.8L seen at the last International Motorshow.
Engine wise, it has 103kW@6300 RPM and maximum torque of 174Nm@4300 RPM compared to the FN2R (Civic Type R) which has 148kW@7800 RPM and max torque of 193 Nm@5600 RPM.
And just for reference, in Japan, they received the FD2R Civic Type R, pictured below:
