Hi CD5 lovers. I have a question and i think you guys are best ppl to ask in this forum. See the stock air pipe right? Can you take out the stock air filter and air filter box and replace it with the intake filter? and used the stock air pipe? If I can do that, what size is the intake air filter should i get for the stock pipe? is it 3 inch?

Just askin you guys coz i am planning to get the package of short ram intake which mean the stainless steel pipe and the air filter, but if i can just use the stock pipe and install short ram intake filter in there to save money.

    thanks guys

stock piping ID is more around 2.5 inch on the F22b1's, but you can run a 3inch pipe with silicone reducers etc.

Another option if your after a factory look is to use a stock f22a or H22a intake hose and just adapt a pod or airbox.

hey jarkz what do you think of this one? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/94-95-96-97-H...3A1%7C294%3A50

    short ram from Ebay?
I just want extra performance from the stock engine without spending too much plus looking fuel efficient.

I've actually been looking at that same intake kit (mainly for piping).

It'll do the job nicely, or Race nation on here i believe can get intakes for CD's also.
