    Just picked up some M/T Streeters - 205/50/15's! 60 ft goal now 2.00 !

13.6X would be nice, but will be 3 weeks at least til I get to Willowbank!

Gonna get out this Wed to test those M/T streeties...

    After advice on

    Burnout/no burnout???

    Revs at launch???

    Slip or side step clutch???

My B18CR has stock LSD and with microtech can run up to 9200rpm.

Should I try a 2500rpm street launch on this track with these tyres or go for a high rpm wheel-spinning launch. After a 2.0 or better 60 ft to see what it will result in!

    All advice appreciated!

OK, had enough of these street slicks... Axle-tramp thru 1st gear whether 3000, 6000, or 7200rpm. Guys at the track suggest solid engine mounts or that poly-stuff you pour in, traction bars or diff suspension setup. I think I'll just waive the white flag and be happy with knowing a mid 13 is possible if I had more money!!!!!!!

I got consistent (but ugly!) 2.25 - 2.35 60 ft times and ran a few 14.1's and two 14.4's with gear changing stuff-ups! Still haven't matched my previous times on Toyo street tyres! Maybe 205/50/15 is too tall for the gearing of the car? I don't know! Top end is similar with street or M/T tyres at 98 - 99mph.

Who wants to buy a pair of near new Mickey T Streeties on Starcorp 15's??? Will Ebay them this week prob.

    Saw beeza on way home

No other h cars there but a real good mix otherwise. Obviously a lot of people for whom cars rate a lot higher than football - like me!

We ran BFG Drag radial in the past , 205/50/15 @ around 13-15 psi
Best 60ft was 1.79 sec. Not that easy to launch on drag radial.
We got traction bar and hasport engine mounts on it.

Its all about practice and finding a sweet spot to launch it off the line.

Definately need good coilovers, traction bar and stiffer mounts to get maximium traction.

Agreed. Ive managed consistant 2.0 60 ft on street tyres 195 / 55 / 15's . Dont be so eager to get off the line to the point where you wheel spin half way down the track, find the sweet spot!

Suspension setup / mounts etc plays a big big role when it comes to putting power down and quick times.
