I placed an order for a full set of innovative mounts including the cable->hydro actuator last week. They're busy as hell so I'll let you know in about 3 months by the time I get them and then get around to putting them in

It's probably the cheapest and easiest way to use a hydro box in a DA/ED. The short ratio cable boxes are known to have poor syncros and can't use parts from hydro boxes so it'd be a gamble to get one second hand. Also they cannot use aftermarket B16A LSDs without modifying the casing.

    B20VTEC + B16A S4C + LSD = fun times ahead for me.

I realized a little while ago that I was much too superior to the rest of the inhabitants on this little planet. I worked out that no one I met or came into contact with ever was up to the standard that i'm on.

A short while after I thought to myself........... I should always put myself in another's position before I say or do anything, just so that I would at least have an educated guess about the way others would feel from my actions & words.

From then on, I realized that I wasn't so good after all. I was the best of the best coming from my perspective, but when looking from another's perspective, I was horse shit.

You my friend have always been highly regarded by me, mainly because of the mature posts & replies I read here on this forum from you, not to mention the long and thoughtful replies, viewpoints & being very informative.

    On topic.

    I have a y1 gb.

Can I bolt a type R GB onto my y1 clutch housing?

    lol,think john was jokin bludger

    S80><Y1 looks close bludger
bolt pattern on the front looks similar, dont know bout the diff side.....
guess ud have to work out whether the y1 release bearing works on the itr input shaft or not & also any difference in lengths of the input shafts.
also ud have to change your tranny mount
also ud be left with one bastard of a gearbox that noone would want,a hydro(oops) Y1.....

easier to just do a converter

this is correct! after all that crap we are getting somewhere.

my point exacly, i have a standard cable clutch DA9 setup and want to use a Type R GB on my B18c1 conversion. hence i will be using the Cable to Hydro actuator.

    cheers
