    Coilover Ride Height!

    hey fella's
i just got my coilovers installed yesterday and they are nowhere near as low as i expected! they are on the lowest height possible and the front is fine but the back is sitting on the bump stops!!

the coilovers are H&R and is there anyway i can replace the springs or something along those lines to make it lower? or can i trim the bump stops?

    thanx!

How do yo know that your ride is setting on bumpstops? Cause my car is the same, i'm at the lowest setting at the back and it ain't low at all ( check out my garage for pics ). I'm on koni full coilovers. I'll chop my bumpstops tonite and see what happens.

I was just browsing the net a few days ago and found these rear LCA's:

Looks like they would give you an extra inch or so lower due to the way the holes are offset. Aparrently they are made by the "Specialty Products Company".

those LCA's jsut look liek a lightweight replacement....the holes dont look offset at all - look to follow the OEM dimensions ?!?

the coupe is a good nice height...!

but it's not SLAMMMEDDDD :P (as you'd expect from the lowest setting on a coilover)

Just get the springs reset an inch or 3 lower. it means you cant go as high as before, but you will go lower than you could previously.

If you are hitting the bumpstop though, that means you could bottom out the strut by doing that...
