Bought a Euro STD 2010 at Yarra Honda for 37,000 then negotiated accessories for an extra 1,400. So 38,400 with fog lights, sports pedal, rear parking sensor and mats. Paid deposit on 24th of July appointment to get car on 31st of July. Don't know if I should go ahead with the deal after reading the forums and and hearing my friend getting a 2009 lux euro in may for 38000 drive away at the Werribee Dealer. :S

Note that there's price increase on 1st of July... but 38k drive away for lux is too bloody cheap!

It would be interesting to know if any these fantastic deals involved a trade in, if so then the price of the new car is irrelevant as this is where they cream you.
Car dealers are not known for their generosity. e.g i traded a x-trail for $17,000 next day it was on the lot for $24,000.....really makes you feel like you got a bargain

P.S...And everybody in the showroom told me i good a good deal, but hey the idea is to make you feel that you had a victory but you never do'

Rade my fd2 when i bought the cu2 for 24k. They sell it for 26k the next day. Should i feel cheated as well? Oh and the fd2 has been in 5-6 accident before i trade it in... Hopefully none from ozhonda bought it off the dealer

Nah, you shouldn't feel cheated if you were happy with the deal then that's all that matters. just as i was happy i wanted a $20.000 changeover and i got it, how they do the sums doesn't matter.

LOL! I was being sarcastic there... I think its a pretty good deal since the car has been in accident that many times and its only 2k different from the sale price they put on (which ppl will bargain it again before they buy). so I'm happy

    Mate,

Doesnt it usually go up another $4k as oppose to 2k after all those costs? Alot of the price still have the RRP with the mini astrix on the top right of the price.

Agree with you that on-road costs are not the reason behind the increases - it was always like 3-4k usually... The reality is that Honda has put up their prices by some $3k+ since Jan this year, effectively pushing up the price point...

I am in the market for a 2008 Euro Standard Auto - black or dark grey. What would you be paying in Qld drive away for a demo type one that had done 1000-2000k from a dealer...? I mean what is the cheapest I could probably get it for (depending on individual things like that dealerships budget/sales that particular months etc).

    Cheers
