and anyway, i know it may seem pointless, but i dont particualrly like WRX's or RX'8s, otherwise i would have got one in the first place haha

Modding the car to resemble a Mugen RR was my plan in the first place anyway, the civic is just the shell . and honda quoted me 15k for brand new K20a engine installed hahaha.
I find that quite hard to believe....

Anywho, if you do actually go on with the project make sure that you get the right stuff and get it done properly.

Your warranty will become useless by the way ur going so just forget about even having it

oh yeah, i mentioned in my first post i knew the warranty would be voided. if u are interested in the engine, ring highway honda in springwood, their parts department quoted me. so i guess they would probably give you the same price.

the k20a is the civic type R (japan) engine rite?

Anything exterior that is carbon fiber is illegal, if interior then it doesn't matter.
If you want to insure your car, carbon fiber exterior parts will void it. I'm not sure if the Type R/Mugen RR spoiler is legal or not with the centre piece being carbon.

I going to do the same as you, RR kit, change engine. custom interior, custom paint job, extreme high end SQ system. but i just gave up lol cause in the end it would cost like 40k which cost more than way more than the civic itself.

I'm just gonna leave my car as it is and just do up what is legal. I'm gonna change back to normal doors lol. i dont like having people killing my door when i get something done to it. Should have thought about that when i got it put in lol

i think it is illegal if it is a fiberglass underneath with carbon on top. if its like the stick on real carbon fiber then its not because when it break it wont shatter into a million pieces and kill everyone around you like a real carbon mold piece.

should know that the K20A engine in the FD2R is different to that of the other K20A's in the integras and older civic typeRs
