the places I go to havent advertised since the early 80s, since then they do custom work and private sales, when youre good people do the talking as your work speaks for itself

not a poorly printed sign out the front of a shop with guys using rattle cans with poor ventilation and lack of filtration for incoming air

Yeah, the cheapest way is to know someone (which makes me think - I would hate to be a car painter!! LOL).Do all the prep work ya-self,have the car and paint all there ready to go and he just comes in and sprays it.

    So anyone a car painter?

    LOLZ

materials alone cost a fortune these days let alone the labour.

2 pak paint, spray putty, body filler, abrasives, solvents, tag clothes, presol etc alone would cost $1k or so for a full respray on a civic so go figure.

unless you have a spray painter mate who works for someone and can "use" materials very cheap from work his boss paid for and doesnt charge you much for his labour dont expect it to be less than $2k for a half decent job.

unless you really love your car and have spend $$$ on it already
its really not worth it for a sake of a colour change
so you ek is worth 6k roughly
cost you 2-3k for a decent job is that amount worth it in the end
best to just sell it and get the colour you want
    save the hassles and time

    x2 to what Lan said
unless you have a car you like and will keep or have gotten for a good price to off load its not in your best interest.
please post pics of it if you do choose to respray

ha ha just for paint and clear it cost me just under 1k to paint my 200....

there is a group in forter doing resprays for $1500 including paint seen some of the work looks pretty good bit of a trip though.

if i was you i would prep the car yourself buy the paint and pay some one to paint it that way say 600-700 for paint and about $500 to get it sprayed in a booth by someone that knows what they are doing, as all the money is in the body work
WOULD YOU LIKE SOME FRONT BAR WITH YOUR FRONT MOUNT
