Have you checked things like the drive shafts are pushed and locked into the gearbox? When the engine shakes at friction point is it just a shake or a hard rocking? If u put the car in neatral does it roll or is it "stuck" I'm surprised nobody has asked questions like these yet instead of "ask Benjamin" he may be good but I wasn't awake that he's psychic lol

I'm using my EG5 wiring loom on my B16A without a problem

Just needed to wire in 02 4 wire sensor and knock sensor... everything ells is straight plug & play

    OK

So you can feel the clutch bite as you release the pedal?

    Used DC2/EG6 drive shafts?
    Used DC2/EG6 shift linkage?

Who did you buy the motor off?

dosnet sound like anything elctrical wise would be something mechanical. Gotta check clutch installed right, fly wheel bolted on (sounds dumb but who knows), driveshafts both in properly the gearbox.

Have you tried in other gears 2, 3, 4? See if engine stalls or not? Definitly drivetrain problem, start at the begining pull the gear box of see if clutch, flywheel etc all good. Might simpley be worn friction plate.

could be anything, if it's the gearbox which i'm 99% sure you have to pull it out to know what the problem is,, could be clutch, could be gears, box could be rooted and all smashed up into pieces depending on how it's been on the box life,

i reckon it's ur clutch not biting well - if it shakes, it's reached fric. point, but not enough to move the car.

Like the others have said, it could be anything really.
