wont that ruin the structural integrity of the rim? rims have pressure points and are reinforced in certain parts.. arent they?

    so by shaving off the inside of the rim to make it a higher offset.. u might run the risk of having an;

=> uneven surface which will make your rim sit on the axle wrong and off therefore giving you a wheel which doesnt spin straight, therefore uneven wear on your tires, remember one wheel which is off will eventually ruin the line of the other three wheels..

=> possible invisible cracks which wont be seen on inspection after the job is done, and could potentially turn into a crack and your rim break whilst driving.. pretty risky shit your dealing with dude.

btw which camber kit did you get?

i installed the skunk2 one and it didnt do shit for me LOL! and its on max setting.

    i also have a problem

i need new tires.. cos the ones i have atm arent stretched enuf and im scrubbing on the smallest of smallest bumps cos i lowered my car more.. but i wanna lower it MOAR!!! lol

as most of you know im running 18x8 and 18x9..

currently running 225/40 r 18 front and rear

i went to a tire shop today and they quoted me $150 each for ku31's which are pretty decent tires.. for the price..

they said.. i could run a 215/40 r18 or a 215/35 r18 on my rims front and back.. to stretch it even more..

just wanted to see if anyone reckons a 35 profile tire is too thin for the fd.. therefore making my rim look larger.. but it will look smaller in comparison to the car..

im leaning towards the 40 profile.. but im sick of the scrubbing noise LOL.

anyone running a 35 profile? lol

hmm.. it could be risky, but the guys im getting my wheels done say they've done it a bunch of times with no complaints. they could be lying, but they've done it to a few of my friends cars with no problems (i only went to them as a reference from friends).

a bit of a worry on the skunk2 camber kit tho. i was just about to order it next week. it seems like its the most available camber kit for the fd. i dont know if there are many other brands out there..
got any clue of what other types of kits are out there?

also, got some pics of the car with camber? i would like to see

btw, im running 235/35/r19 tyres on my car. scrubs and i dont think the tyre looks that thin at all. i think it looks fine, but ppl have seen my wheels and when i tell them they're 19s, they say "they look smaller. the tyres dont make them look like 19s" lol.

here's probly only side view pic i've got of my car. the lighting isnt that great to see the wheels, but it's all ive got for u. lol

i was also looking into getting some 225/35/r19 tyres. got quoted at $190 per tyre.

yeah i think ill live with 40 profile! =] gonna grab some next week!
if they havent got them then 35 profile it will have to be..

when they mention profile.. they are talking about how many % of the tire is tread yeah? its not mm or anything.. like the first number 225 or 215 etc..
