wheel nuts stuck

tried to take out 1 of my rear wheels today
i have some altech 15s

first nut came out fine then went to another and it was hard as rock
i thought maybe it was like that since i haven't removed it in awhile
so sprayed some wd40 on the nut and retried but same result,
sprayed all 3 remaining nuts and none budged and in the process i sort off
broke my nut wrench

any ideas guys? tyty

had the same experience, ended up taking it to local mechanic to get them loosen.

i actually broke a wheel stud, called a mechanic to come fix it for me for free. good luck, since u can drive it take it to a shop

you break it off, take the wheel off and replace the wheel stud

Though the mechanic doesn't charge you, go get him a bottle of VB.

a air powered tool would be the best result, quick and easy.

with tight nuts, dont ease it off, u goto hit the bar or wateva with force to break the seal

took to a mech he used an air tool and got the bitch off

Its a result from over tightening. You must have gone pass the torque specs prob by stepping on it to tighten to this point.

Its easy to remove. Use a big breaker bar, and ur foot if you have to. If you use ur body weight make sure that you have the breaker on a angle of about 45 degree with the handle end pointing to the floor to avoid stress on your stud.

But as a result of over tightening, expect your stud to snap in future.

next time just screw the nut on till it stops then give it another 1/4 turn thats enough to secure it.
