4 is fine for now, but I don't think will be enough. Start the car for a minute, get the oil circulating so it fills the new oil filter. Shut if off and measure with the dipstick after 5 mins. Top it up to suit.
The dot on the left is the maximum. When you check oil level, pull the dip stick out, wipe it with clean tissue or rag, then put the stick back in and pull out again. That way you will get a clear reading, not like the one in your pic where there is oil all along the stick. It is alright to be slightly higher than the maximum dot. I usually put about 0.5cm over the top dot.
The dot on the right is the minimum. Between the minimum and maximum dots is roughly 1 litre.
oh yeh its above the dot line but they shud be okay i guess. ye this first time used this kind of dipstick lolz. the one of my civic is when u check the reading its about half way or below the half and has no dotted things
