temp control button stuck in cold

hi everyone~ i got a 94 civic hatchback and i just got a problem that the climate control always stuck in cold, cannot move into the heat position, and i removed it and discovered that the temp control wire is very hard to slide, is it any way to fix it>???? cheez

in every eg that ive had ive noticed that it requires alot more force to push the tab into heat but ive always thought that was normal?

i pushed too hard on my last climate control resulted i broke the button, i replaced the climate control recently so wanna know is there anyway i can fix it?
