i just did this on a b18c2. previously it was jumping between 1.5k and 2.5k until it warmed up which it settled on 1k.

now its idling better, at 1.5k but still a bit wonky and the engine check light is on.

do i need to reset the ecu?

the car came with a tuned vafc2

EDIT: engine check light was on cos i forgot to plug the electrical cable back in lol... but the idle goes bad again. would it be in need of a retune?

Adjust the idle control screw with screw driver. Im not sure where it is on the b16 but on the y4 its on the throttle body. Its a little flat head screw u adjust to increase or decrease the revs.
Anyone selling a black ek1 facelift Hood (OEM)?? PM ME

Thanks Gio - will give it a try - the funny thing is yesterday all was sweet idle @ 900-1000 - this morning didn't want to play idle stayed at 1500rpm after car was showing normal operating temp on gauge!! - is there any sensors for temp that enable cold and hot cycles???

I think mine sits around 1500 when warm, i do think its too high (should be about 1000) but i havnt got around to adjusting it.

I'd adjust the screw first (when warm) then if that does'nt work look further into it

my problem was the FITV not the IACV. fixed it up and no more jumping idle on cold start! idles at 1500 cold and 800-900 when warm

After you locate it...You adjust it by opening it up (2 screws),use a mirror to see in there,if needed and just turn it until it idles fine. You can fine adjust the idle with the idle/air screw.

I think I found it FITV is under throttle body - shouldn't be to hard to find the plate and uncover it

yeh under the throttle body. very tight squeeze. best to take off the intake and strut bar if you have one
