so i got 2 c spanners one on 1. and another one on 2. so i tried twisting the bottom one(2.) anti clockwise and the top(1.) clockwise to try to unlock it but its like not even budging with wd40.

After a few attempts now when i try to turn it both 1. and 2. are moving at the same time. is this meant to happen or is it still locked?
Get spanner and turn to right (see pic). This may take a little effort. Because your is down all the way, don't worry too much about unlocking the bottom one at this stage. Just use c spanner to hold in place!

Don't take it out, easier to adjust on the car!

Is it because of the pillar mounts?

Does anyone want to share the EP3R Service manual?

mechanics must be tanks if they find turning these joints with breeze.
