EF7 clutch/EH9 clutch interchangeable?

Hey guys,

Was driving my EH VTi back through the Black Spur today and my tranny shat itself after stopping at the pub. Was disengaging fine but wasn't engaging well for any gear, crunching and grinding. Cost $210 to tow back from Healesville (I nursed it through the Black Spur back into town).

The RACV guy said it might be the clutch plate but I have no idea to be honest.

My mate says he has a spare exedy heavy duty clutch for and EF7 CRX but I don't think it'll match since the EH9 runs the D16Y1 SOHC VTEC engine and the EF7 runs the ZC DOHC non-VTEC. Anybody know for sure?


Any advice?

no it is NOt compatible.

The EF7 , yes runs the d16a8 (or ZC) gearbox that has a slightly bigger input shaft (same as B series) so it wont suit your D series gearbox.
