Angry Vtec not kicking in! :(

i have a b16a2 in an eg, just recently converted.

my vtec doesn't kick in so i was wondering how to fix it?

i heard there are vtec controllers but kill the motor, so im not sure about this option.

    - change plugs
    - change oil to recommended weight
    - use genuine/hamp filter (hit up JDM yard for that)
    - remove resonator on stock intake

    try that first

    if not

    - change VTEC solenoid gasket
    - take solenoid out and clean with carby cleaner
    - reset ECU and check for fault codes

    still no vtec

    - check for oil leaks
    - check sump for dents

Make sure engine is warm. Vtec will not work when cold.

if all the recommendation fails, then there might be something wrong with the wiring. bring it to good performance centre. they can fix it.
