How much torque comes out of a turbo D-series

    Hey everyone,

    EVERYONE MAKE A POST HERE!!

I invite anyone (or ppl who know of a friend's set-up) with any model d-series (d15, d16, vtec, non-vtec, anything) that has been dynoed with any amount of boost (3PSI, 10PSI, 20PSI, anything) to post some figures of the max torque that they have pushed out of their boosted D-series. I'm curious to see what other people have pushed.

Let us all know descriptions of the
    * Car model (and whos car it is if it's not yours)
    * Engine model
    * Breif description of turbo setup
    * The torque it put out (the power that it made too if you like)
    * Anything else you would like to add. Dyno graphs would be nice.

    Thanks,
    Michael.

    * Car model 92-95 Honda Civic Hatchback
    * Engine model D16Y1 SOHC VTec
    * Breif description of turbo setup GReddy Turbo kit with added intercooler and injectors
    * Torque it put out 205Nm (Very brief though)
    * Power 137kw at 11-12psi till she blew up = Con rod throw the block
    * Dyno graphs would be nice.

    Peak Power

    Crap torque

Thanks Lukezen. That's pretty good power. Dam, too bad about the rod through the block! Are you going to repair and go again?

Keep the figures coming please What has everyone else got?

All the D's go pop in the end mate

Most people don't get those high numbers man so don't expect the same...
    110-120kw is the normal power

I've got a EG5 B16A SiR II on Boost now that powns my old setup

I have always been taught, for a stock block D, going past 200whp runs risks. Looking at Lukezen's dyno, 137kw equates to only 184whp.

Yeah on that run but the 160kw run on the dyno is when she blew hahah

    correct

My point is any little thing that goes wrong on a boosted D = blown motor

With your above mentioned power output, that would have put you in the danger zone, but the 137kw output was well within the range...

Of course with any stock block turbo setup, take it past the safe power zone range, & of course any little mishap will make motor go bang!

    Mate your missing the point

I didn't mean to go to 160kw it was problem with the boost controller

    HENCE my statement

""My point is any little thing that goes wrong on a boosted D = blown motor ""

A B would handle an over boost of 4psi
