    CV centre Nut too tight cannot remove

    hi everyone, i know it is a bit out of the topic....
    i got a daihatsu charade 1990 G102
    and yesterday i totally broken my driver side cv and was going to replace one by myself, but the centre nut is very very tight! tried to loose it with 3 of my friend, still not loose.

    car recently cannot drive....is anyone here can help me to loose the nut??
    i locate in SA south brighton.......

    Leverage, get a long (3m) pole and put it on the end of your breaker bar.
    Then jump on it, it should break the nut open.

    depending on the nut you may have to do 2 things before removing the hub nut
    1. unstake it like most honda's
    2. remove the circlip

    usually the hub nut is torqued uber tight, if you're using a larger breaker bar theres only really two ways of getting it off
    1. have a mate step on the brakes while you crack it off
    2. have it on the ground with the wheels on and center cap off to expose the nut

    as lil_foy said, you might need a cheater bar ontop of the breaker bar to get more leverage
    no real need to jump on it though, just keep applying constant force until it cracks the nut off
    might want to hit it with lots of wd40 or something similar first though

    wt i did for whole day were

    1. put a lot of gease and wd 40 and fish oil to get it loose easy, but not working

    2. i extended my bar and 2 of my fds step and jump on the bar, i step on the brake, no luck

    3. did put on the wheel with no centre cap to expose the silly nut, but even the wheel spin a bit with step on the brake already, the nut still not move even 0.001 mm...

    There might be some of the nut jammed from where it was staked. Happened to me (idiot previous owner belted it in way too hard with a punch) and I had to drill a few holes in the nut to make sure it was entirely free.

    yah~update today~ i got my mate help me out with a bar borrow form the wrecker like 1.5m long+ an 2m long extend metal stick to give it our best torque to the nut~

    almost broke the bar, after high pressure for 5 mins, the nut moved like 1mm~ and discovered that the nut totally screwed into all the way back of the tread on the CV, it actually melt on it~

    i will post the DIY topics asap! thz for all!

    P.S.

    i had been some parts shop and asked for advise, they told me is another way to open the nut if it is really stuck on it which is use the grounder to ground the bolt till it is thin enough, then use the socket to open the bolt will be easy~ but have a get a spare bolt b4 the action~

    seriously mate... i had that problem.... sometimes a breaker bar doesnt work.... if you really want it off use a rattle gun :P

    If you can't get it off with a breaker bar there is something interfering with the nut.

    I've snapped tools on that nut with a breaker bar and I'm a weakling. More torque isn't the solution unless you want to mess up the end of your axle.

    a rattle gun tried, it is still not working~ hahhaha finally i extended the breaker bar like 5 metre? and almost break the suspenion and axle~ finally replaced the whole shaft
