    wrong! cd5 or cd6 isnt related to the year the car was made.

    simply, cd6 is a SiR accord with H22A (dohc). similar engine you found in some preludes and gen 6 jdm accord euro-R CL1.
    cd5 is regular accord with F22A engine. there was no aus delivered cd6 accord. new zealand did have tho.

    Those clips are attached to the headlights. I just used a long flathead screwdriver to poke the clips out. Something like that. And a bit of force lol.

    Uh, Wrong.

    CD5 = pre facelift.
    CD6 = post facelift.

    Minor cosmetic differences, including front bar, grille, rear tail lights and f/r lips.
    Major difference being switch from ODB-I in CD5 to ODB-II for CD6.

    SiR = trim spec, has H22A.
    Vti/Vti-S = trim spec, has F22B1
    EXi = trim spec, has F22A

    Year is a factor. As far as I can tell, the crossover point is about mid to late 1995.

    Xenon: If that's true then I'll stand corrected. Show me your VIN please.

    skyflyer: obviously? please demonstrate the obviousness of my ignorance.

    hope those will enlighten you a bit. and there was no intention of having a go at you; just want to straighten the fact and thats all! but obviously, i'd rather keep myself quiet if i dont know what i'm into or i dont know the subject i'm dealing with.

    we are all here to gain, and share knowledge, but its up to you if you decide to stop posting.

    as a side note, i'm approaching 30 years old pretty soon (in my late 20s now). so now, who is the kid?

    I'm going on the experience of seeing the VIN codes on cars in person. I'm wondering if you've seen a JDM SiR car in person, and if you have whether you've read the VIN code. It doesn't say CD6...

    On that note, have you read the VIN codes of cars other than your own?

    And as for your side note, sad as it is, you're still the kid I'm afraid.

    If it's alright by your lol-ness I'll stand by my views until proven otherwise.
