I actually only thought that HIDs the higher frequency was different colour. but I guess maing them brighter would be right too. I just installed 8k in my car. Hope its fine.

HID's.....................how the fuk do u argue to the cop that they are factory fitted.....
he also got done for too low, even though we have set up his car to clear by at least 5mm.......
u cant win....but playing dumb does sometimes help
Thing is , if you're running 10000k in a civic, you're gonna get done.
If you're running 6000k in a euro , then more than likely you won't.
BTW, there has always been a stricter crackdown in vic and nsw compared to qld.
dix, where did your friend get done tomz? they pulled me over just after the round about on koroit creek road near the 7-11. is there no way he can turn around and prove they are factory standard? ill try the excuse of saying that i put ep3 headlights into my car and thats why i have the hids.. lol, probably get fk on again anyways. sucks about your friend though, hopefully his got coilovers and can adjust the height easier than spring/shock combo. all the best with it!
the other day when i got my defect cleared, the vicroads guys looked at it for like 15 secs and said yep.. that's fine and pretty much let me go even though my rear tyres were unroadworthy.

Looks like HIDS from afar in my DC5R but its just a BRIGHT white light instead of the standard yellow..
Had an argument wif the ****, told him if theres a defect going on my window, be prepared to see me in court over it as my lights are completely legit, its just the globe been change BUT still has the same rating as the stock ones.
2 times this month had this problem >.>

are all the defects going in melbourne? I was going to get a set of 6000K HIDs for my euro but still 50/50 if they're going hardcore on defecting the HIDs.
