I've done it a few times in my laser ACCIDENTALLY and its not a pretty sound.
Ur car is designed to have a clutch for a reason, its not meant to be driven close to an auto..

you can actually change up gears without using a clutch. There is a specific rev position where it can be achieved successfully smoothly. Every gear box has a different spot. Believe it or not but it can be done with out any crunches
