yeah, i think the fuel usage will continue calculating e.g _._L/100km but the distance traveled will reset every 1000km.

hmm, but then when you see the distance is like 10km its still got the fuel economy stored as something else (that doesn't correspond to 10km). Bloody confusing.

Interested to know how you found the reset after 1000km out, I couldn't find it in the manual

I knew it reset at 1000km because i tried it cause i was curious too, i havent reset my distance travelled for like 6 months, it just keeps going round and round. And i don't have it on the setting to reset when i fuel up.

Yeah i think the fuel economy is stored as something else, but it doesn't display that. Maybe it doesn't fit on the display? so instead it just resets and remembers? I still have the same reading of 9.1L/100km, it just went down recently actually lol was on 9.2L/100km for about 5 months+ =p

Not sure which model you have, but my CU2 only resets back to 0 after 9999km.

I think you are right as well since my trip A is still on 8.6L/100km and its been that since as far as I can remember and my recently reset one (that I did myself) is on 8.4

Please don't sat that, trip B on my CU2 is reading 6.6 after 8,000km & has been the same for some time. I might have to start all over again soon.....lol

I can confirm that "Trip B" does in fact reset to 0 at 10,000km, however the average displayed does not reset. (Trip A resets automatically every 1000km if you don't have it set to reset every time you add fuel)

In reality this is a great way to check the accuracy of the trip computer if you also run a spreadsheet on fuel consumption. My findings are as follows & I suspect all CU2 trip computers would be similar.

Trip B was reset to 0 at 10980km & automatically reset to 0 at 20980 with a displayed average of 6.6L/100km. Trip B is now reading 193km & the average is still the same.

So if we break down the figures over that period the total distance was 10173km with the display reading 6.6, Actual fuel used over that period was 710.6 litres which therefore gives a true figure of 6.985L/100km.

As an average we need to add 0.4L/100km to the figure displayed, but that figure does vary slightly from 1 tank to the next.

Whatever way you look at it that is an excellent result for a CU2 Auto, far better than I expected.
