    Lowered Integras - Scrape??

    Hi
Just recently bought a 97 Teg and its been lowered with Koni adjustable suspension and Eibach pro springs. Just having alot of trouble with speed humps and driveways...... and the fronts been scraped a fair bit when i got it so was thinking of putting a new bodykit on it but wanted to raise it a bit first. No point putting on a new body kit just so that it can get scraped as its my daily drive. Any tips on springs, ride height etc would be helpful.

    Thanks
    Brandon

If there adjustable, lift it yourself?
Get the key and turn the mother****er!
hence why adjustables are soo good

Adjustable suspension....... would that just be the hardness of the ride or height adjustment?? Sorry...... just new to the modding scene :P

If you have coilovers you can adjust the height. If just Eibach springs then you can't. I am guessing you have springs and adustable shocks?

You can either buy higher springs or get a new set of coilovers. And sell the old setup.

Yep thats right..... how much would a good coilover setup cost roughly? and any recommendations on springs plus prices and ride height? I think i'll be leaning towards just getting new springs...... atm any little speed hump i'll start scraping and have to watch it even on rough sealed roads....

    Thanks

not really, if its low, it's low...

you may get some more stiffness when your car is going, but it sounds to me like what he's talking about is slow manouvers, such as entering a driveway and speed humps... the only cure for this is to raise the car...

I know your pain, ive got my DC2R sitting pretty low (stupid i know)... and i need to go pretty much parrallel to my driveway then turn in otherwise i'll lose my bumper...LOL

    The price you pay...

how long is a peice of string man... ?

How low is the car now, what kid of driveways are you going up? how many speedhumps do you encounter in your travels? can you avoid them? how big are they? which parts of your car cop the most beating?

The only person who can make that decision is you, based on how bad the situation is...

Yeah... Do I need to change all 4 springs together coz its just the front scraping... the rear is ok. Will it affect the car's ride?

    Thanks

you can change only two, but the difference in spring rates might cause you some issues... do your research dude, because sometimes you put difference spring rates front to back anyway to set the attitude of the car in certain situations...

Maybe someone else can help here as im not an expert... if you drive in anger and enjoy a certain kid of feel then you can benefit to get a certain spring rate...

Remember that your car will look odd (in some peoples eyes) with a lower ride height in the front to the back...
