I had no information on that at all, it was pure speculation knowing how the industry works. The time frames i mentioned were just guesstimates

... That would have covered the replacement knock sensor we are getting. They then have to rewrite the software which turned out to be a comprehensive update, this would not have been a 5 minute job. ....

....The update has been available now for about 2 months, so that would be 14 months after the initial release of the CU2 ....

So - should I be concerned ..... I took delivery of a new Accord Euro Luxary Navi, from the first shipment of MY10 models arrived in September. Took it in for it's 1000km service today, and mentioned that I heard a rattle when the car was accelerating at low speed. Have to take it back for 6 hours when they get in a new knock sensor. Notes on the service sheet say 'post detination noise'

It all starts with "rattle when the car was accelerating at low speed" dude

or it was about "V" ..anyway, new SW and knock sensor will fix it in 90%

I wouldn't be concerned, the replacement knock sensor & software update takes about 3 1/2 hours. In my case - (i can't speak for others) the pinging issue was more prevalent at low RPM -2000 to 3000 RPM

But if I read through some earlier posts, the problem with the sensors and firmware has been rectified, yet brand new cars (MT10) off the production line, still have problems? So - is my car really a brand new MY?

Shouldn't have to (even though this is a way to fix).
BTW, had my car done today. Will take it for a spin shortly to futsul to see if has been fixed as my wife picked up the car.

Well it was pretty spot on , as it was explained to me by a service tech.

I spent some time on the Dyno & checked everything out. I forget what the readings were but everything was within specs.

That was my understanding too, so I was happy to buy one, now that after 1000km service I reported an issue, and I have to take it back for the knock sensor to be replaced. So that's why I'm wondering, do I really have an MY10, or is it a MY09. If I thought I could see the build plates, it would help - but I'm a chick, I don't live to crawl into an engine bay :-)
