    Talking Importing s2k?

    ive been told you cant import Honda s2ks into Australia , but is it possible to import a older year model such as 99 / 00 or 01 of the s2ks from japan?

    why not just buy one here.
    they generally dont let you import cars like these because they say its gunna disadvantage the australian market or some shit like that, for example u cant import an ek9 because it would disadvantage those trying to sell an ek4 when they go for a similar price yet u can import a skyline GTR because theres nothing for it to compete against. i might be wrong but thats what iv read and herd but yea im assuming you wouldnt be able to import one

    Cars that were sold in australia as new models, cannot have equivalent overseas models imported unless under personal import.

    Since the S2000 was sold in australia, you won't be able to import one unless you go to that country, buy that car, own that car and live in that country (documented evidence of the car being used + you living there) for 1 year, then you can try and bring it in as a personal import.

    Also another way, the car must be 15 years old before it can shipped on the boat.
    Hence why alot of MR2's are now coming into Aus.

    This law actually ceased as of a May 2005. They can now only come in as a personal import unless their build date is older than December 1988.

    This date wont start to increase until 2018.

    The only honda you can import into australia atm is the EP3r, happy to be corrected though

    edit : besides personal imports
