my advice is, if u want to keep any credibility and if u really want to "impress Honda owners" is to do things by the book. the thing i called u on before was because u wanted to get an 07 engine in ur 09 car. thats an automatic no no and will give u a lot of hassle later on. if money is not an issue then u should simply wait til u can obtain an 09 k20.

also, auto is boring! even if it is tiptronic. a k20 needs a manual box. shifting gears and hittin teh vtak is very much ftw! the main thing everyone here is waiting on is the engine and its the most important part of this whole project. ur mugen rr kit, sound system and paint job will look sick, but the owners in here would still be impressed if u had a jdm k20a inside a stock fd1.

that is what i am waiting on atm. that halfcut. slowly getting infor, it's only done 13k kms. but still gotta find out year. i can wait for the engine. hey, ya never know, i may have to wait a year or 2 to get one. but still, its the end product that is important, people wouldnt still be driving around ek's if they were worried about the year

this is the first time taking a look at this thread

i kinda feel bad for nathan

so many guys taking a dig at him

i think we should give him some credit for tryna break the mould

wants some jdm style , with some bling and cruisability all rolled into one.

all that and a motor swap on top

this could be a cool end project when all is done and dusted

i say points to nathan for being different

OP, i'm sorry but this is only happening cos we've been waiting for too long. Ideally u shuda made the thread a lot later... rather than keep the suspense and hype.

i understand for other people it may be hard to visualize something that i have in my mind that may not make sense to them. so when it is all finished then everyone can have their own opinion.

    OH NO!
im not saying that the OP is full of 5hit and stuff. i really cant wait to see the whole product, yes its good that nathan is trying to do things that most of us can only dream about (rr kit, k20a and things like that). but as curtis says, we have been waiting for so long!!!!
what is your mod list atm?

sorry nathan if u got the impression in the wrong way

Good luck as you can't register the car as the engine is older than the chassis. So that idea is basically trash. No engineer will do it for you unless u DIY it which (no offence) doesn't seem like something u can do. If you do want a k20/24 of some sort you'd have to find a engine that is newer than your chassis. If you do then you have no probs.

hey, how hard was it to paint the dash? .. could be dumb but i would much rather all black/dark coloured panels then the gay grey (example - aero has the black pleather seats and black interior plastics would set it off)

how hard is it to make the plastic look a 'normal' black?

i wanted to wrap the roof in black suede b4 but northwest custom said it will look dodgy as the pillars are grey
