    problem with eg with b18c7

    Hi all,

i just done the swap from B16a to B18C7 in my civic eg

currently i have problem with the wiring room and idel on the car,

i am use obd1 hondata s300 ecu to run my b18C7,

do i need to rewire the ecu room again or just plug and play,

i did try to start the car with the wire as is, but the S manager detect that there are 3 error code with the car,

    1 ELD
    2 knock senser
    3 os heater senser,

what's the best way for me to do it?

i am thinking to buy 2 harness conversion to conver my my room, one is obd1 to obd2a and then plug another one from obd2a to obd1 again, i know i sound stupid, but any other way to do it, some people told me just by pass it, but i want to do it in the correct way (no by passing), no engine check light will on )it's on atm.

also another way is to change the obd1 plug to obd2a and just buy one harness conversion to run the hondata,

either way i can run both stock b18c7 ecu and hondata

also i think i might have vaccum leak, is this why it cannot idel probably?

can anyone confirm with that do i need to rewire again or just plug and play

    any help would be great

    thanks

I think you should just try to rewire instead of cramming in 2 patch harnesses. Much neater if you just made it up or pay someone 300 bucks to wire it in. Best to sort out the wiring first before multitasking with the idle as the wiring might be cause of the idle. As jdmTYPE R mentioned check to see if the hondata was coded to a b18c7.

The s300 is not tuned yet, using the ITR bacis map from the S manager, i need to buy the harness conversion first in order to run the stock ecu, but instead pay 200+ so i though it's better for me to buy HONDATA (that's what i think)

in the S manager, it's only says ITR map, so i though that's should be what i am using right, or i should look for the code of the ecu to lod it into the hondata?

anyone in Melbourne can conver the OBD1 to OBD2A, please pm me, as i think this way is better for me

thanks for the reply guys, thanks

And it sounds like you're nearly there...
Go into the S-manager software & turn off the problem errors.
That is ELD, Knock sensor, O2 heater & probably Barometric pressure & injector error.
See where you're at after that,

i did disable 3 of them,

but comes up another one which is the TDC, top dead centre sensor,

and the engine is running super rich at idel, lots of black smoke comes out, and fuel

check is the TPS, it's good, but now it's TDC that got me worry,

    Hi ecu man,

how do i get it out of limp mode?

    buy replace TDC sensor?

the workshop test the TDC, and it's working fine,

would a tune of the ecu fix this problem (i mean running rich)

or really i need to sort it out the tdc problem?

    thanks

btw, today i did another run on the engine,

but disable all the eld, KS, O2, Barometric pressure & injector error

but the car is still eunning rich, however, TDC error did not come up

but instead come up with code 41 PO2S, would this is because the car is running too rich and it's out of the reading range for the O2 sensor?

any idea of whats goin on with the engine

also another thing is that i didn't connect the EVAP on the engine, would this creating any problem?
