    Ventureshield Clear Bra

I was wondering if any CU2 owners our there have considered fitting a clear bra to there pride & joy. I know there are several options from a full wrap forward of the windscreen to the basic kit which will cover slightly more than a Vinyl Car Bra. Due to financial constraints I will be getting the basic kit fitted in the near future. Lifetime Warranty included.

i have done quite a bit of research on both products & I personally don't think there is a lot of difference. The subject is covered in some detail on 6speedonline, an exotic car forum & people there tend to lean towards Ventureshield ahead of 3M. In my case it also came down to location of a dealer in the area I will be traveling.

The bottom line is either product will be better than the Vinyl Bra I currently use, although if a large stone hits the protected area you will still get a dent.

Quote from a forum comparing 3M to Ventureshield:-

Ventureshield does not scratch as easily as 3M and is optically clearer.

Type R, price is totally dependent on how much protection you want, idealy if I had the finances I would get everything forward of the windscreen done as well as the A pillars. The basic kit in the picture above is $595, so call it $150 more than a vinyl Bra, or $50 more than a coloured Bra.

To get the complete bonnet done would cost an extra $200. The same amount extra to get front guards completely covered. I guess if you had the money you could cover the whole car like some people do with exotic cars.

The only downside I can see is if a large enough stone hits it will still leave a dent, I actually had a stone penetrate my vinyl bra, leaving a very small dent. the windscreen was not as fortunate....lol

here is an article I found comparing 3M & Ventureshield:-

At ClearBra.ca we have been installing VentureShield film for the last 6 months. In the beginning we used 3M film, it was the more recognized, big brand name, but found it had a few shortcomings i.e.: orange-peel, stretch-marks and poor formability. After researching the market we found that the premier installers around the world were using VentureShield film. VentureShield attributes are: no orange-peel, no stretch-marks, excellent formability and life-time warranty against yellowing (prevalent on white vehicles), cracking or peeling. Plus independent lab test shows it to withstand freezing temperatures, extreme heat, acidic oils, gasoline and be 2 times stronger than 3M film. VentureShield is the way to go with Paint Protection Film
