a +40 is pushing it hard, but it will work if you run stretched tyres... and knowing you, you would haha

    heys

    since i'm getting 19x8.5 +45
will i need to get springs or new suspension straight away? or will it be fine and not scrub.

Also what is recommended if i want more of a comfortable ride, change springs only or whole thing?

lastly what brand is good for springs/coilovers?

stock suspension should be fine, just run some stretched tyres on it to minimize scrubbing, perhaps a 225/35/19?

more comfortable ride is to change the spring as well as the shock, you can change the spring first then when your stock shocks blow then change the shocks afterwards.

there is no chance you are going to coils to fit with the wheels so springs is the way to go. i had eibach sportlines on mine and they were alright but if you want a bigger drop get skunk2 then afterwards some bilisten shocks or koni yellows

    thats my suggestion

ok cools, so springs 1st and then shocks.

how much drop is the eibach? what will i need for a 1 or 2 finger gap drop?
have you heard of espelir? cause i can get them for like $380 instead of eibach for $497 with jdm.

how much are the koni yellow shocks?

eibach is like a 1.4 or 1.5" drop.. so about 3.8cm drop from stock height.. and skunk2 is 2.25" front and 2" rear (about 5.7cm front and 5.08cm rear).

you will scrub. i think the offset is wrong. stock vti-L wheels are 16x6.5 +45.. you adding another 2" onto your rim width on a 19" rim... i dunno man.. up to you tho.
i decided i was gonna scrub on a 18x8.5 +38 offset. and i was planning to run a 215/35 on the front or a 205/40. and im on coilovers, so none of those tire hitting perch problems.

i guess i will have to run coils then if 18's already scrub.
maybe run bolt on spacer, stretched tyres, whatever cost the least haha.

oh do air suspensions give the softest ride? ... .. .
