why people just don't run legal maximium rating ADR approved halogen bulbs is beyond me, apart from those who own luxo euro styled cars that came stock with HIDs of course

    it is noticable, but barely.
most factory hid is 4300 and its actually the legal limit for colour.
personally, i am using 6000k cause i feel the slightly blue light looks so much more sexy.
if i was to move back out to the country (very very very highly doubt that will happen) i would switch to 4300k purely for the light factor.
but in metro areas not really an issue.

seriously in Australia we have exceptable standards, this goes for everyone, otherwise get caught, defected, insurances voided, and stick to the bus or train systems...

me thinks someone is still not over their ballast blowing

Anyhow, i'm running 8k in my projectors without any problems in the eg. I also had 8k in the standard reflector headlights and the light (although bright and sexy) was all over the road, didn't get any trouble from the police, (maybe i was just lucky). I'm tempted to put the old set (h4) in the daily but i'm too lazy....Both kits are Chinese and are still working fine

The tonka boys with their 10 spotties on on the highway have nothing on the young blokes with hids in terms of annoyance
lol remember you did use to have hid's ryan.......

OT im running 8000k atm, they look good but will prob go for 6000k next time

Since having the 8000k hid's in ive been through several rbt setups at night time. Cops have never said anything about them, maybe ive been lucky though

I've seen what looked like 12k on a jazz on the street, looked completely ridiculous.
The one car with the purple lights stuck out like a sore thumb.
