SO You guys think Honda going to reduce the RRP by nearly 2k as well. Currently EUro base auto is 37290 and going to be around 35k after January.

I am looking to get new euro base model auto, seems like i better wait till Feb March

Thanks and keep posting the update here..

Sorry to ruin the party but have read of this.

    Or the summary is here:

Honda won’t even admit they’re looking at it. “We’re not making any comment on our pricing strategy,” says its general manager of sales and marketing, Stephen Collins.

Thats officially.Don't worry when the tariff reduction comes into effect they'll be looking closely at their pricing (and competitors)and either adjusting it downwards or by adding extra features to the car at no cost.

If you can i'd wait till Jan-Feb.The car certainly wont go up in price and they'll be even more keen to shift 09 models in 2010.

Hmmm. Let's see; assuming $930 delivered price drop due to 5% duty drop on a Mazda 3 Neo Manual means that the cost of the car to a dealer is $930/5 x 100 = $18,600.

Interestingly, the recommended delivered price for this car is $24,385 in the Northern Territory. Subtract $699 stamp duty and $64 registration and $426 CTP = $23,196.

Dealer margin (not profit!!!) = $23,196 - $18,600 = $4,596 or 24.7% mark-up on cost price. Pretty normal on most cars of this size and bigger.

Work it out for a Euro.

i bought the new 09' model last year oct for 34400 drive away, auto, full tank, matts, extended warranty, slim plates, metallic paint, i had to haggle a lot and find a good salesman over the different dealerships, from inside the dealership i was told i hit rock bottom, then when i went home they called me and it continued over the phone to reach that final price.

Hope this can give u a good comparison for a bargain.

As per HOnda website they reduce the RRp price
Now for Auto the RRP is for base model auto 35790, was 37290 something. Seems like 1500 reduce

What was the price last year this time before Honda increase the price in April

Not sure how much can bargain. May be free accessories in January/February.

When does 2010 built cars come into sale..
