what tyres , what weight and what mods with your "homo" 14.1 time ?

Why we have to talk about my 14.1??? For a B16a its ok I guess, but as an overall time its embarrassing, thats why I havn't said anything about it for over 1 year until now.
PM me Benjamin if you really want to know but I'm not going to go into detail on this thread about how I managed to do a gay 14.1sec.
This is about B16a Road Registered EG civics that do 13's and under, not 14's.

Why is the time 'homo'? and why does this thread have to be about dick measuring instead of encouraging other drivers to perform better and learn more about drag racing in general?

Ok so far we have 2 times, I thought we might of had a few more.
    13.9 - Benny
    13.6 - Paul.

Can we have the mods, info on both? It should be quite interesting to see the contrast or similarities in both cars.

    Benny 13.9sec
    Advan A048
    ?
    ?

    Paul - 13.6
    ?

I will try crack into the 13's in the next couple months, should do easily as my car has improved over how it was a year ago. Just wana see what others did to get 13's.
    Cheers

why is a 14 second pass with a B16A 'gay' - i think thats quiet respectable? Running a 13 second pass with a B16A will not be a regular thing either unless its very very modified with a very very good driver and very good conditions!

Are you getting out of track and into drag Dan?

Correct 14's in a street EG civic (full interior etc) is ok, but as I was saying, I don't care if a Suzuki Cappuccino does a 14sec N/A cos at the end of the day 14's are slow. Its not the car you do it in, just 14's are slow.
For a particular car it might be very very quick but in the whole scheme of drag racing a 14 isn't recognized, though maybe for tractor drag racing lol.

You are correct about 13's in a road registered EG Civic also "unless its very very modified with a very very good driver and very good conditions!"
What I said that was crap, is people with B18's that post that they did 14's when they should easily be doing 13's.
For a B16a road registered 13's is not that common I agree. As we can see, in the whole of OZ there are only 2 cars that have (probably a couple more that arn't on the forums).

I'm not getting into drag racing haha.
My car is a circuit car but I'm just curious how many people have done 13's and what specs, as I think I can get there also when I go in the next couple of months.
I think it will be quite funny if I do seeing as my engine setup is very basic (no massive cams, stock bottom end etc etc but with a killer engine tune from one of the best tuners in W.A), but no point talking about it, I have to go out and do it.

I don't like the way this thread is turning out haha. I don't mean to be rude but I don't wana do idle chat about me and my car. Please don't care about me and my car. Its not important. People just stick to the 13sec B16a road registered thread.
PM if you want to talk about things not related to this thread.

Paul was running circuit semi slicks
If im not mistaken 99 mph. His gearbox was the key to run 13.6 sec.

I did 96mph so yer that sounds about right. Thanks yonas.
How much time you reckon 8" drag slicks will save you over circuit semi slicks, more then 0.5sec or it depends on a number of factors?

Depends on alot of factors , Paul got a close ratio gearbox. So yeah thats the key for it even when he only got 110kw@wheels

Sounds like a very similar setup to me. I have closer then standard ratios and around 110kwatw also.
It will be interesting then what I get when I go in a few months. I know it will do 13's for sure but a 13.6sec, I dunno????
I did the 14.1sec pass with 50kg more weight in my car then what I have now, plus I have done a few other minor improvments etc hmm it should be very close to a 13.6sec I think, but only time will tell. I'll let you know.
    Cheers
