the fact that it is the "power antenna" wire should be a dead give away as to its use, if you use that to turn the amp on/off it will turn off everytime you switch to cd or ipod etc
Isnt it the ''remote'' wire that is used to turn the amp on, you just simply have to route a wire wherever there is the space for it on the amp, to the 12v wire in your headdeck, so whenever your headdeck is turned on, it gives the power and signal for your amp to turn on, and also to turn off whenever your headdeck turns off (eg turning off accessories in your car) ... pretty simple really.
You dont want to run this wire anywhere else or your amp may stay on 24/7 while your battery is still connected and it will drain your battery significantly.
if you have an aftermarket headunit, then there should be a AMP REM wire, which is most likely blue, though if you are using a stock headunit, then you have to find the ACC wire which might be red, but that depends on your car.
Also if you are using a stock headunit, and are using the speaker level inputs on the amp, it should turn on whenever it detects a signal from them, removing the need for the turn on wire.
To make the amp turn on from your head unit is simple. All you do is splice a remote wire from the accessories that powers your head unit. You run this to the amp and it has a designated spot, this allows the amp to turn on and off through when accessories is selected or not.
