    running rich

    hey guys, i only have cai and cat-back and im running rich whyyy..

    Honda tuned them that way. Lots of things that can effect the A/F ratio though. like O2 sensors, MAP sensor, fuel pump, injectors, grounds, ignition coil, spark plugs, etc.

    would be a nice trick to shoot flames but its all about the $$$$$ wont an ecu upgrade fix this?im sure it will, to change the fuel distribution once the engine gains all the extra cold air?

    To burn petrol a certain amount of air is required (something like 14.7 parts air to 1 part petrol). When someone says they are running rich then that means they have more fuel than required. If someone says they are running lean, then there is more air than required.

    Pretty common phrase though, especially on a car forum.

    Its not the air on its own. Its the 'ratio' between air and fuel.
