Dual carb problem!

Heyy ... i recently brought a Ed 90 model civic dual carb.
i hav a carb problem.... wen i brought da car it had been sittin der for few months n wen i went to start it for da first tyme it clickd ova but wudnt kick ova?? wud dis b fuel not gettin to dah carb due to not bein started n sittin der fora few months???n ders nothing rong wif da car also. cheers

by click over do you mean you could just hear a click. i assume you mean by it wouldnt kick over that it wouldnt crank.

Recharge the battery, or get a jump start. the click is the starter trying to engage but not having enough power. if that doesnt work either the battery or the starter is dead

Cranking over means the the motor is turning. So it IS cranking over, but not starting?

Does the car have fuel in it?

Check you have spark. If you have spark, see if your pistons are wet with fuel. If they are, it's a compression/timing issue.

If they're not, it's a fuel delivery issue.

Check those out, and report back.

Battery problems

Spark plugs / Leads

No fuel..

or something else that i cant think of.. lol

Try tapping the gas a few times while u starting it up...
Coz once u tap the gas, fuel goes inside the engine

happened few times to my old ED..

yehh its got spark,fuel n etc . .... but mayb jets kud b block? it cranks but doesnt start! sounds lik its about to den js dies out .evn wen givin gas still doesnt wana turn ova . .. hMmm . ....fkss me eyy lOl!

So,

You've checked for spark, fuel delivery, and your timing is spot on? Can you hear if the engine has compression?

That's the complete recipe for making an engine start. You're missing one or more of those things. Find out which one it is, then fix it.
