    Hydrolocking HELP

hey guys, rain heavily in Sydney tonight
sad news is that my mates car with Injen CAI went over a puddle by accident and now the car does not turn on at all, what is best to do?
tried un-pluggin the battery to "reset" the ecu, no luck
take the Air flow sensor, it is a bit wet (saw a few droplets of water)
whats best to do at this situation?
and most importantly, is the engine effed?

    thanks

Lift the car up. Drain the oil and fill it with new oil.

Crank the motor without starting it (disconnect the spark leads or injectors.) Crank it for about 5-10 seconds. Drain the oil again and put in new oil.
While the leads are out. Take each spark plug out and clean it out. (could be contaminated with water).

Re assemble everything and hope it starts.

It shouldnt have cause severe damage if only a bit of water was sucked up.
But a severe hydraulic lock and damage the engine big time. Snapping belts, bending valves, throwing rods. Unless you heard a big bang, you should be ok.

Did it to my friends car the other day.
Better to remove the sparks, then crank it until you see no water comes out. Rememeber to unplug the dizzy plug.

Car started after i did that.

If your saying oil is in there, meaning that your burning oil everyday? Does that sounds right to you?
