Request for a 'd-series' section

It weighs on ya mind man.Have U owned a d-series for years? (before the b)
Those who have know EXACTLY what I'm talkin' bout.U start thinking your engine is sh!t and U 'wished U had a b'

I've never owned a D series, but i've been apart of many car clubs where i've owned a lower spec car. I know what its like to have people say "Too bad its not the sports model" or "You won't be able to keep up with that little 1.4".

Plus, I drive a 3rd Gen CRX. Most people won't drive them because they're afraid of getting called hair-dressers. It happens to me almost everytime i drive the car. IN THE REAL WORLD NOT ON SOME INTERNET SITE.

Do you see me complainin??

The fact is,d's aren't sh!t and other's NEED to have the option to realise that.

People are only expressing their opinion on the engine. They think D's are shit. So what?? its just their opinion, they're not the law makers, they're not the only people in the world. No-one said you have to agree with them either, and no-one said you had to conform.

If i conformed, i'd be driving a civic like everyone else! lol do i? NO!

I know alot of people want to have other peoples confirmation and support when they do something to their car, and thats why they come to places like this. For support, and information. but if they give into peer pressure and go the "sheep route" by getting a B, then so be it.

Its their own personal problem that they can't build their own path and stick to it.

D-Series.org is so in love with the D because its dedicated to their engine. Just like K-series.org loves the K.

If you really want to help, then post up DIY's. Give them all the same name format so they stand out, and people will appreciate it. Threads like this don't make the D any more popular then what it is.

And you will never see someone swap a D into their car. The only thing you can do is give them soemthing that they can do to their current engine, and if they like it, great.

But don't be disappointed when people choose to upgrade.

There is a hell of a lot more d-series owners than del sol drivers,so I,as a d-series owner,long time active member on here feel the responsibility to do this and if it's not approved,I tried.

I would much rather be swimming in my dam on the farm or the likes than do this but like I said,thier is a very obvious problem that contines to go on and it would be great to have the simple solution put in place.

I have to keep on saying this - I dont car what they say about the d,me or anything like that.But what I do care about is having a place where we can talk about our engines without the continuos and never ending problems.When we can do this,we will be able to reach new heights with conversation.

If I didn't spend a year on d-series.org before I came here,I would have absolutely fallen victim to it too but because for a year,everyday,I saw a spoke to guys that were stoked on the d,they loved it.

That made me persistant with my engine,knowing I can get her going good,if I just learn how!

Well,I did that,it took a long time but I did it.

I am more than happy to pass that knowledge on,like many other d-series guys are on here.But do U think they want to read the constant BS,it's like 1 page of d-series talk,3 pages of BS! 1 page of d-series talk,3 pages of BS!

It doesn't affect me lol,I'll just simply walk away and not give it another thought if it gets to that point.I certainly wont be stressed by any of this.

You already have a place to talk about this stuff. its called the "technical" thread. or the DIY thread, or the Civic thread.

You've got the whole forum.

And the BS isn't just related to D series conversation. its this whole forum.

i thought you would have learnt that by now.

Until there are a large group of people saying the same thing as you, then nothing you're saying is going to be listened to by anyone who is able to do anything.

if you want your own place to talk/preach, then make it. Who said you have to be given it? Pave your own way.


Also, there isn't many Del Sol owners at all, which means i'm a minority. Yet i still hold my own without Complaining.

Brett , you are taking this too far. Wyn does not make the shots , it is a majority vote after much discussion.

As I , and other mods have suggested multiple times there will NOT be a d series dedicated sub forum. There is NO such forum for any other engine type , infact there is a conglomerate of engine types relevant to engine swaps( located as a sticky in the civic sub forum ) - no one cries for a b or k specific forum .


Please , keep all d series discussion to the thread you have created.

Thats exactly what its like mate. When someone asks a question about a d series engine concerning power you will hear it. Get a 'B' dont waste ur time and money...

Mate you are taking it way too extreme. Most people are happy to mod their d with exhaust and air filter for sound, and if they want more the most logical, cost efficient and reliable way would be to upgrade. Also we are talking about minority of the minority who want to build a d, so no point establishing the section and it won't be popular.

It's fine that you wanna learn and enjoy the process of decking out a d, but there are more efficient ways of achieving greater end results, and this is more appealing to most people...

Personally i think the d series thread is very good especially with beeza's knowledge and a few others but there are so many out there that put him down. Beeza and others dont want a B swap they just want somewhere to talk hondas and not be talked down upon by b/k series owners (or people that have a b/k series but its owned by the bank )

And for that d-series.org, you should have keep your opinions about the american and what they do at war and just read up on the d series info they have on their site

Even though i do agree with some points you have made beeza, i dont think its realistic to make a section just for "D-series"... it wont solve the problems and then opens a can of worms about dedicating sections to all the other motor series. Then ozhonda will be made up of heaps of sections with little content and the same amount of regular users.

I Do however think a "SOHC" section and a "DOHC" could be a good move

that wount woek as there some crx in Aus with D16a8 or ZC DOHC d series engines
