    iPod touch for my car HELP!

    I just bought a iPod touch yesterday for my car since the head unit is NQR and doesn't take cds but will told me he uses a iPod touch for music and that day i went to check out the car before i bought it i did see a iPod touch. So last night i chucked in a song to test out my sound system but it doesn't work! I plug it in and go to source "ipod" it says searching for around 30seconds then it says error 01. I have a nano 4th gen and that works. Im thinking about going to a older software right now im on 3.1.2 my head unit is some alpine one that looks similar to this.

    Looks very alike. Someone help me please! dont tell me i just wasted 200bucks when i could of gotten a new head unit lol.

    the itouches suck balls. They don't work on any headunit, even the new ones. Shocking. Anything under the itouch works. Even my iphone works and my sisters itouch dont.

    nah thats completely wrong... my friend plugged his ipod touch into my fusion ca-ip500 head deck and it worked straight away, no problem at all,, i think it may my be your head deck that doesnt work with a touch.

    Nah its not a AUX cable its a ipod cable coming from somewhere. I think ill just buy a AUX cable to ipod.

    ive had that error before. Just reset ur ipod and then that should work. I was always getting error 01 on my alpine HU. Also to make sure that ur HU has ipod touch compatability go to the manufactures website and check. If you cant find it there google will help.
