Rota's claim to fame is in making replicas (a.k.a. copies) of famous, top grade wheels. And that's all they are good for, cheap copies. Every 'nice' or 'famous' Rota design you see is copied from a design of a top end wheel maker. Search the internet for pictured examples.

The Rota slipstreams are famously known as copies of the Spoon SW388.

You can get Rota copies of the TE37 too, they're called the Rota Grid!

But........ friends don't let friends buy Rota's.

Another suggestion for the OP, if you find a nice grandma's car, check for completeness of service records! She could just take it for regular oil changes in some cheap workshop, so the car ends up getting filled with unsuitable motor oil, and the mech could have overlooked major work like timing belt changes etc because the lil' old lady didn't tell him to do it.
i dun think all rota will break like those pics? u dont know the full story behind those cracked wheel nehoo, they looked like they were heavily tracked and the brake caliper touching the wheel. but yeh. millions of people run rotas, do you think they all snapped while driving?

i thought slip streams were copies of evo regamasters but i dunno lol.

well w/e its up 2 you, although i do like genuine, if u can't afford it, just get the reps.

ahh thats true, we can shoot up the streets later i guess, well ask questions if you
want to keep it on topic...

    places to look for cars:

    www.carsales.com.au
    www.drive.com.au
    www.carsguide.com.au
    www.tradingpost.com.au
    www.ebay.com.au
    www.boostcruising.com

keep an eye out on those sites, things pop up every now and then, but dont panic if
you dont manage to get the clean car you have been looking for, there will ALWAYS be
another one that comes up, believe me i have spent hours and hours and hours looking
for clean cars on these websites
