nah i dont only care how quick it performs but i want to make sure i have a good engine in there in the first place and build around that.
i recon i could put up with the car looking alright and driving like a dream for about 2 months while i save up for some other mods

If I was in your shoes, i would rather get the EK and then work on a conversion from there. EG's are pretty old but if you're into performance motivated the EG is lighter, hence quicker.

I know of someone who's selling one. Going price is 19k neg. PM if you're interested. Also, there's a resprayed blue EG civic with a type-r conversion in it also, it's got the works (5 stud conversion, dc5r wheels, etc) more details available if you search carsales.com.au for civic type-r.

    Good luck with it d00d!

    np's mate!

haha, didn't know what a b16a or a b18c was? i'd stay away from places like that!

btw, as i quoted above, the civic going for $19k neg is a purple EK.

I take that you're probably more interested in starting from scratch? If you were thinking of a b16a conversion into an EK, I don't think that's a wise option when you can already buy a vti-r civic which has a b16a in it already which you probably already know.

Put a b18c into a civic, you won't regret it

meh just buy an EG civic any model apart from the breeze and turbo the crap out of it

bonus is that if you get the gli u can have spare engine galore at a cheap price.

U only need to worry abt your turbo setup. Then u need to find sumone to tune and get the turbo kit all up for ya.

If your in Melb pm pornstar, plenty of ppl will vouch for him on turbo kits

yeah, where are you? i know a few good places for conversions, but all in brisbane/ Gold Coast, Northern Nsw...

personally, i would go the EG, and (if you got the cash) b18c5 or 7 it. if getting just a b18c1, then would better to get a b16a.

but yeah, thats my personal opinion..
