Drag racing is all about WEIGHT/GEARING/HORSEPOWER in that order.
Lighten it as much as possible.
Gear it for max revs @ 1320ft according to your weight shifted estimate of Horsepower.
After that, just pull gears as quick as you can and maximize traction in the first 2 gears.
"Understeer you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."
If I was trying to build a record breaking 1/4mile car I would not have a B16a.
My car is a circuit car and for the time being the B16a is holding up just fine, even allowing me to nab the lap record at barbagalo's.
When I have more $$$ I will upgrade to a bigger engine but will always stay N/A.
The reason I am taking my car down to the drags in the next couple of months is out of pure curiosity.
