    power steering belt making noise.

    i replaced the belt and now it make like a power saw sound?

    too tight ?
    did you do it yourself ? Try and loose the ps pump holders ( 2 x 12mm bolts) and then slowly raise or lower the pump with the butterfly bolt and make teh tension of the belt firm but not TIGHT

    yer mate my mate did it for me, he thinks the pully is slipping?

    if it was slipping it would most likely be loose then tight which would produce a saw sound or a squealing, adjust the belt till the point where you shouldnt be able to twist the belt anymore than 90 degreese between the pulleys and if its still making a noise i'd be checking pulleys..bearings..
