    Driver's seat squeaks/rocks

I bought a civic not too long ago and only noticed after buying that the driver's seat will squeak/rock a little bit if i wriggle a bit. I wouldn't know where to take the car to get that sort of problem fixed so I asked my mechanic and he said that the past owner must've been a big guy who would fall into the seat and the bolts have worn as a result. He said you can't really fix that problem without paying a lot. But i'm not 100% sure that he's right since it's not a mechanical issue. Anybody have any advice?

How old is the car Is the seat standard? or aftermarket??

Has the mechanic had a look at it, or have you looked at it? could be just a simple case of a bolt coming slightly loose. Push the seat back, check what screws/bolts you have access to and tighten up. push seat to the front, check what screws/bolts you have access too and tighten up.. Shouldnt be much of a problem..

i would firstly check if they are tight enough, like ajbm said...

if you havent checked that already, could be an easy fix.
