i think im having that problem as well i use shell v power, but the problem is i fill it up when its just a little passed half way and when its about halfway it does about 180-200kms is that normal? i change gears at around 3000-4000 vtec once or twice? so if i did the full tank would i do about 400kms? when do you guys fill up? when its almost at empty or like 1cm off that? thakns btw my tyre pressures are good and got it serviced not long ago with new spark plugs

btw how often do you guys use the A/c? could that be the reason why my mileage is low?

every now and then. i dont really see how a/c can have a drastic affect on mileage... liek i said earlier, i gave it a really good hit up and down RNP, and my needle said i only used 1/3 of my fuel !

I use the A/C all the time. doesnt affect my mileage at all. as above, i can travel up to 600km without the reserve light , but thats highway driving.

What i notice though, is difference in where you pump your gas. Had 1 experience where I pumped V-power at Station A and only lasted 400ish whereas Station B could last me 500-600ish. Same driving style, nothing changed..

Recently I've research myself with using either V-power/BP ult./98ron and other top brands and out of all these, I'd have to go with BP ultimate.

I do some regular driving including hitting the "v-tec yo" and for some reason the others seemed to burn much quicker and easier compare to BP ult.

I'm not quite sure of the differences between each of these but for me BP does me well and leaves me quite a few juice to keep me going.

Apologies if this is going sidetracked, but do you own a DC4 or have filled up a DC4 from an almost empty tank? I filled up petrol today from what I believe is an almost empty and can only manage 38 litres.

You can't do that and say that your tank is absolutely 40 litres. There is a reserve section where the needle is at empty but you have about 8-10 litres left at the bottom. And the thread you linked points to 50 litres.

To ddcc55rr: Aaron is right, so I won't repeat what he wrote. Do I own a DC4? I own a DC2. Exact same fuel tank beneath the rear seats. Don't rely on the fuel gauge. When the fuel warning light turns on in my car, I can get about 37 litres in. When the needle drops all the way to the bottom of the scale and it looks like that's it game over, I can get 41 litres in. Then I once tried to keep going still, and the needle pretty much fell off the scale at the bottom end. (Don't try this if you don't have a servo nearby). I got 43+ litres in at the fill-up. That means that there's still almost 7 litres sloshing around in there. But if you've seen how wide and flat the actual fuel tank is, the 7 litres will be spread out real shallow, maybe 1-2cm deep, at the bottom. So if you go up a steep hill, and the remaining petrol tips to one side in the tank and the fuel pump just might starve.

But, I don't get it, why can't you accept the cold, hard specification sheet facts concerning capacity, but continue to argue it?
