wheel spacer fitment for eg5

For sale: Brand new kics project 10mm bolt on spacers (PAIR)
Thread: 12mm X 1.5
Type: 4 x 100
Centre Bore: 60mm

im looking at these spacers for an eg5, my rear wheels look a little soft and i want to push them out a little more to get a more aggressive stance, and im not sure if these specs for these spacers will fit. im running weds sports, and its just a daily driver.

thats what they looks like.
btw, my fronts sit fine, the rears r just a little shallow, i want to have them a little more flush and ill get slightly wider tyres next

There are many things to consider when buying spacers. Those spacers will bolt on to Eg5 hubs fine. However, this doesn't mean the wheels will fit on the spacer.

The studs from the car will stick out of the spacer, especially with a 10mm spacer (which is pretty small). Lets say the stock studs are 30mm. This means that 20mm of the stock studs will still be sticking out of the spacer. Many wheels don't accommodate that kind of room.

Some wheels have holes between the pcd holes specifically to provide room for the standard studs to sit when using a bolt on spacer. Others dont.

Some wheels might not have these holes, but have a section of the hub area cut out, others dont.

Pictures probably explain this best. For example: we are looking for room behind these wheels to determine if a bolt on spacer will fit.

With these wheels, that 10mm bolt on spacer will not fit. As you can see, there is no room for the stock studs to sit behind the wheel.

However, They will fit with these wheels. You can see there is provisions behind the hub for the studs to sit. Both wheels have holes that go through the wheel for the standard studs to sit when using a bolt on spacer.

This is why wheels like CPR have the extra 4 holes between the lug holes. Its to accommodate a spacer.

Some people put a bolt on spacer on their stock studs, then cut the stock studs so they can fit any wheel. This is NOT recommended - it will mess up the threads on your studs, and if you do finally get wheels that are the correct size and offset for an aggressive stance without a spacer you will have to get new studs.

Hmm long post, got carried away. Hope it helps. Check your wheels first before buying a spacer.

well im running weds sports. as u can see, the rears r looking pretty sad. i was hoping that the spacers and wider (its 195 atm, but will get 205 later) will push it out a touch

As far as i am aware, the nuts on the kics spacers fit flush with the spacer, and TC-05 have 8x100 pcd, so they should work no worries at all

What width and offset are your tc05?

i think they r 15x6.5. its running 205 falken rt615 on the front but some shitty kumho 195 on the rear.
i havent taken the rims off to check the sticker.
im trying to decide whether to go 16"s, or stick with 15" cos rubber is so cheap

Tc-05 are a good wheel, Id just keep them unless some good 16in wheels came up for a good price.

Assuming the offset is the usual tc05 offset of around +35ish for a 6.5in wheel, 10mm spacers and 205 rt615 should fit no worries at all with a roll of the guards at the rear.

Generally you want a 7in wide wheel to run 205 tire to its potential, but rt615 are a very skinny 205 compared with other brands in the same class of tire. You should be able to get away with running them on a 6.5in wheel and still have them perform well.

yeah, they sit fine on the fronts.
anyway, the guy wants $180 for the kics spacers, not sure if thats a good price

There aren't too many options when you are working with 10mm spacers. Kics is one of the few who make them in that size. Alot of the time people just opt for slip on spacers with extended studs when working with sizes around 10mm.

JDM Yard are selling them for 245 per pair new so its up to you if you think its worth it.

Seems like a simple fix to your offset worries to me. Keep in mind that Kics spacers are not hubcentric. But they should be OK.
