    EXHAUST systems

hello would anybody be able to give advice or help me.

I own a EK4 and have recently bought 421 Toda headers and fujitsubo RM01A cat back.

Whats the best idea if i were to get it installed? i mean, cause i need a high flow cat to bolt onto these two systems right? well i quoted from exhaust stores what they had to do to get it installed. basically all they do is weld the high flow cat to the headers which is then bolted on them onto the catback system.

Is there any Fault in this or power loss?

I mean, I've seen other car's using JDM ITR cats which is just a bold on and off. does these have any affect in power restriction?

Anyone have other suggestions on getting The exhaust systems fitted without having to go through getting your headers welded onto the highflow cat?

STOP RIGHT THERE!!! whatever you do, do not weld any part of the exhaust or any part of the headers. Modify the cat to fit with flanges etc. Don't weld the headers and exhaust because you will lose resale value if you ever decide to sell them later on in life.

The jdm itr cat is a good idea with good flow etc but would you rather buy that... or a brand new high flow cat? I would personally buy something like a good condition sard cat or buy a magnaflow cat and modify the cat to fit the system.

Remember not to weld the headers or exhaust for the love of good.

normally they get a flexi welded onto the headers as the donut joins are not as good and can cause breakages.

To get max power a steel cat would be the go, forget about the hi-flow cats, they are still restrictive. Based on your choice of headers & muffler, cash does not seem an issue, get the best for your car then.

Oh yeah i see. cause right place exhaust, all they do is weld the headers to the high flow cat.

So an SRD Cat, Magna flow cat, and JDM DC2 cat are still good in the power and flow? And they all fit, straight with Bolts on right? no other modifications?

If so, Does anyone Know Where i could Get those? cause atm i need to fit in my toda headers onto my exhaust system cause my old headers (aka from ebay cheapo shit) is leaking (which is welded to a high flow Cat) and making a Terrible noise.

go to pipewerx and speak to owner and tell him you dont want to modify the header or the catback.

forgot the dudes name but he does mad jobs.

what you need to do is just line up a cat, and get flanges welded on to suit existing flanges of catback and header. do not cut your header or catback

    ^^ As he said...

DO NOT WELD OR CUT THE END OF THE HEADERS.

If the shop doesn't have the necessary flanges...WALK AWAY.
