    LOL?

Post something up and jump up and down if no answer has been given in a couple of hours?

Not that I have an answer, I have no knowledge of these things, but impatience is a curse. Patience solves alot of problems, I'd suggest learning some.

A d16y8 head can fit directly on d16y1 block but from what i remember the d16y1 dizzy doesnt fit in the cam key way of the d16y8 head. Search mini-me on honda-tech for more info.

No d16 sohc head can fit on a d16 dohc block. At least not the i have heard of, and if it was possible it would not be worth the money spent to make it fit.
Is it there CEL when it goes into limp mode?

The D16a8 was one of the most powerful and torquey D series engines there was, equalled by some of the SOHC VTEC engines.

The SOHC head can be swapped on, but one of the head bolts wont line up, and one of the coolant passages doesn't line up correctly. If you want to redrill the head, and go through the trouble for no power gains then whatever really.
