RE001 are too expensive they were good when they first came out but now they're rip off and they're crap too.
Kumho KU36 is probally one of the most bang for buck tyres out at the moment, cheaper and better then RE001.
However you never stated what you're looking for in the tyres, long life? Grip? Wet Grip? Anything?

Arnd $150 per corner - give or take. fronts are bit cheaper, rears slightly more expensive. Then add in fitting and balancing 4 wheels should be $60 all up.

They're cheap and REALLY good as well. However they don't last that long you should get about 1 year outta them, maybe abit more.
Tyres are the single most important thing you can buy for your car so it's always good to invest in good tyres.

    $150 a corner.. ? they're not that cheap than.. consider they're only 16"..

I bought a set of Falken ze912.. read some reviews and apparently they're decent tires.. they were $170 per corner but this was through JAX .. so i'm sure you could get it cheaper if you went to another smaller tyre shop.. bare in mind, these are 17" .. not 16"

Falken ZE912 ain't even close to the same class as the KU36.

Every other tyre in the KU36's class cost alot more. Falken RT615, Bridgestone RE11, Advan AD08, Dunlop Z1 Star Spec.
the ZE912's are a family car tyre LOL
