    Question What can i do to fix slowly closing auto window (Eg)

    As title states "What can i do to fix slowly closing auto window" Eg model.

    Recently window has been closing slowly and bothering me.
    any tips to fix it?

    spray some lubricant on the rubber like where the gap is. that actually helps.

    wouldn't that make the window all greasy?

    Pull the door trims off and lube up the window rails with dry glide or similar.

    spray only the sides, I had the same problem and i took my car to Hannys and thats what they did to mine..and it helps.

    I'm having the same dramas cept mine shudders as it goes up......

    Just can't get enough of these engine conversions.

    I have this same problem, mate of mine told me to spray the sidegrooves with silicon spray

    if problem still persists after you spray the rubber sides with silicon spray then you'll need a new/used (but better condition) window motor and regulator.

    yeah i think i should constantly lubricate the rails.
    My sunroof rails broke, in which i assume was because of the lack of lube support?

    while we're on the topic of improving/fixing eg power window, has anyone have ever try fitting ek or dc window motor?

    nah im not in trouble or anything thanks for the thought though.
    just curious because eg window motor seems rather tired, drove other ppls car and their window goes up very nicely and much less clunky.

    if say we could fit dc5 motor, i think it would run very smooth

    haha just a thought.
